Ellen Wolfson Valladares is a writer, spiritual teacher, community volunteer, and mother. In each of these capacities she enjoys assisting adults and children in discovering their purpose and stepping fearlessly into the life they were meant to live. A native Floridian, she grew up in St. Petersburg and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida. She has worked as a newspaper editor and freelance writer and received Gold and Silver Awards from the Parenting Publications of America for feature articles published in South Florida Parenting Magazine. She currently teaches workshops in the South Florida area and has created a meditation CD entitled Archangel Journeys. Ellen and her husband, Manny, live in Weston, Florida, with their children, Gabriel and Michael. This is her first novel.
Maureen Burdock is a German-born artist who immigrated to the United States at age seven. Her art education began soon afterward in the art, history, and science museums of Chicago, where she spent many happy hours. Later, Burdock studied fine art and media arts. She exhibits her fine art nationally and internationally. Recently, she received an award from Judy Chicago/Through the Flower for New Mexico Feminist Artists under 40. Burdock and her partner are based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where they have a writing and graphics studio.
